In art, as in life, there are decisive encounters.They are those who make change, progress, mature. For Valentina Fin, a young vocalist from Vicenza, this meeting has the name of Norma Winstone, not by chance one of the most refined engravers of the Vocal jazz from the last 50 years. Anticipated by the digital release of May 14 and on CD at the end of the month(on Emme Record Label label), is now on tour TUMIZA, Valentina Fin Trio’s, homage to Norma Winstone.
The trio is anomalous how intriguing: voice, sax, piano. The path is divided into two parts: „A Norma”with songs created for the Winstone by great composers such as FredHersch, KennyWheeler, Steve Swallow. The second part of theconcert leads us to „Fuori Norma”, witha trio of songs(two originals and one by Louis Cole) that are inspired by thepeculiar situations of recordings of the great British singer.
